We are pleased to report that your agency/federation has again been approved by the Eligibility Committee for inclusion in the 2010 Local Government and Schools (LGS) Campaign materials.
As you know, the LGS Campaign is based on “donor choice”. It gives public service employees the opportunity to invest in health and human service agencies in our local community. Henrico PAL has been been assigned the following agency code to receive contributions from area public sector employees: 359.
Mentor/Mentee Program
We are pleased to announce that the National Police Athletic League, Inc. has awarded Henrico PAL a mentoring grant through the Department of Justice for the period of April 1, 2010 to April 30, 2011. As part of the mentor grant award, we are seeking interested adults to mentor our at-risk youth.
The commitment is one hour per week to mentor a child in need of a positive relationship. So, if you are interested in making an impact in a child's life by improving their self-esteem, attitudes, academic performance, social skills and work habits then please click on the "Mentor Application" link and complete the mentor form. Also, if you are aware of an at-risk child who may benefit from a mentoring relationship please follow the "Request for Mentor" link and complete the application.
